The city center is characterized by its Mediterranean atmosphere, a byproduct of its long history under Ottoman influence which distinguishes it from the more rigid culinary landscapes of Northern Hungary. Visitors seek out this area to experience a relaxed pace of life, often sitting in squares that mirror the social architecture of Southern European towns where public gathering is the primary purpose of the day. Rokusch reflects this local habit of integrating quick, reliable food into the flow of urban exploration.
