By accessing or using Vota.org, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Effective Date: February 11th 2026.
1. Who We Are
Vota.org is a community-driven platform that helps users discover restaurants through side-by-side voting, rather than traditional ratings. We aim to create more honest, dynamic, and democratic food recommendations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or legal guardian consent.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use Vota.org for lawful purposes only.
You agree not to post or transmit any content that is false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
You will not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the functionality or security of the platform.
You are responsible for any content (votes, comments, uploads) you contribute.
You agree not to upload, post, or share any images that:
You are solely responsible for any images you upload to the platform. By uploading an image, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate any third party's rights.
4. Accounts
Creating an account may be required for some features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Vota reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community.
5. Content Ownership & Use
You retain ownership of the content you submit, including images. By posting content on Vota, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, crop, resize, create derivative works from, and distribute your content in connection with the Service. This includes using your content for promotional purposes related to Vota.
This license continues even if you stop using the Service or delete your account, but only for content that has already been distributed, cached, or incorporated into the platform prior to deletion.
5A. Content Moderation and Reporting
Vota is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any user-uploaded content, including images, at our sole discretion.
If you encounter content that you believe violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate, you can report it directly within the app or by contacting us at support@vota.org. We will review reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content and suspending or terminating the account responsible.
You may also block other users within the app to prevent seeing their content.
We do not guarantee that all objectionable content will be identified or removed promptly, but we take reasonable steps to maintain the quality and safety of the platform.
5B. Copyright and Intellectual Property Claims
If you believe that content on Vota infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@vota.org with the following information:
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
- The specific location of the infringing content on the platform
- Your contact information (name, email address, phone number)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights owner
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act on their behalf
We will review all valid claims and take appropriate action, including removing infringing content where necessary.
5C. Age Restrictions on Content
All content uploaded to Vota, including images, must be appropriate for users aged 13 and older. Content that is not suitable for this age group will be removed. Vota reserves the right to restrict access to certain features, including image uploads, based on the user's age where required by applicable law. We may remove or hide content at any time that violates these Terms or any legal obligations. We are not obligated to store, maintain, or provide copies of any content you upload.
6. Restaurant Listings
Restaurant data is collected from third-party sources and user submissions. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness, correctness, or availability of information listed.
Vota.org does not directly endorse or recommend any restaurant listed on the platform.
7. No Guarantees
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or reliability of the content.
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by reliance on information from Vota.org.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or harmed the community or platform.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any legal disputes must be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
